2010: my mobile tech year
Saturday morning. I am thinking of two things. 1st, I am kinda reviewing how to propagandize the facts in my CV so that I can win more opportunities to work on exciting stuff like what I am doing now. 2nd, I am thinking of how to enjoy myself more from IT/EE and telecom services.
So after 50 days’ hard work on French Open, I was happy to see that my app jumped to be the 1st ranker of all J2ME apps during the match period.

And I’ve not forgotten my eye-candy "Orange Wednesdays" for our dear movie-hobbyists in UK. Sweet enough, 68% Android phones in UK have been equipped with my app.

And hey, with this "Orange TV Player" which is gonna cover 100% Orange Blackberry phones and uninstall the current player made by another company, I am struggling to prove that blackberry is not so hard (or even sooo-not-hard) to develop, well, at least not for OS 5.0. Those Canadians in Paris are pretty down-to-earth though. I love Android and I adore RIM too, just as I like drinking Canada Dry.

Yes, geeks and non-geeks, I am going mobile and 3D these days, but my passion is far from being a soft shell-less snail. My 3D augmented reality prototype is perhaps not gonna be a massive production in Canon, but those hard sensors, GPS, accelerometer, camera, compass…those hardware stuff continue to excite my nerves, pushing me toward the edge of robotics.

That’s why I decided to pick up my password-forgotten eBay account and start from scratch: to eat some gingerbread and make some expenses on robotics.
Tools:

Chassis: I am really proud of my WWII Tiger 1 RC tank, just a bit expensive but it looks so cool, solid, all-terrain and fast:

Circuits: This is my shopping list:

Brain and sensors: Instead of buying one by one different sensors, I am gonna grab the splendid idea from the project CellBots (www.cellbots.com) so that I can embed my Android phone into the robot to make it think and react. Cool combination eh?

Now what? I am in bed, day-dreaming of my Wall-E, waiting for my online orders, impatiently, happily:)
